The value of coaching comes from insights developed by the individual during the coaching engagement. In coaching we focus on the person not the problem; we coach the whole person in an integrated approach. My coaching integrates the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social aspects of my clients. The value to the individual is transformative, thriving in their personal and professional lives, becoming resilient, creative, and resourceful.
I discovered the value of coaching and the coaching profession few years ago when a post on social media popped up advertising for a webinar on conversational intelligence. I attended the webinar, and it was eye-opening and interesting. It introduced me to the science and art of coaching with all its benefits in terms of increasing self-awareness, understanding feelings and emotions, managing mindset, setting goals, and taking decisive action.
I have been in management consulting and program management for more than two decades, a job that took me around the world, working with people and organizations from all walks of life. I successfully helped clients to implement complex business strategies and to solve their business problems. It was very satisfying and gratifying; what I enjoyed the most was meeting amazing people.
The more people I met, the more my perspective changed. Listening to their stories, their challenges, and their aspirations was grounding. I was connecting with people, some total strangers, others were business associates and partners, on a deeper level. Through intelligent meaningful conversations I was inspiring them to become a better version of themselves, opening their eyes to see things from different angles. I was building strong and deep relationships that impacted people positively. The joy I felt was simply unparalleled. I discovered coaching.
What is coaching?
Coaching starts with goal-setting; helping my clients define their goals, discover their desires and create plans to meet these goals became my passion. I take pride in my skills to help people navigate difficult situations they find themselves in and overcome obstacles and roadblocks they are faces with. I excel at empowering people and helping them develop the tools they need to reach their highest potential. I love to guide them to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to rediscover their inner strength, their voice, and their hopes to make a difference and achieve success.
I heard it said once that coaching is a noble profession but not the most profitable business. The road to be a professional coach was long and winding, but I am happy to be on this journey. When the pandemic hit, shuttering businesses and upending lives, I focused my attention on obtaining my executive coaching certification from the International Coach Federation.
The coaching practice
I have been coaching for few years now, a practice I find more and more rewarding. Through coaching, my clients, individuals, groups, teams, and organizations, find value, and gain a positive return on their investments.
If I were to define it, a coach is “a thinking partner”. And this is exactly what I do: I partner with my clients and help them set and achieve their goals while providing support every step of the way.
I follow a whole person framework in an integrated approach that helps my clients become more aware, have more clarity, and get better at managing their emotions when they need to, all essential for happiness and well-being. I help them become more self-aware, compassionate, and empathetic leaders, colleagues, and human beings.
I will be writing more in the future to highlight the benefits of coaching, personal growth, and professional development.
I’d like to end this note with an open invitation to explore coaching. I’m certain that everyone could benefit from coaching! Contact us for detail.
